United States Election
Hey everybody. How are you all? How were your weekends? Did anybody do anything exciting? Anything out of the norm or ticked off your bucket list? I would love to say that I did, but it was a pretty standard Saturday and Sunday for me. Oh well, hopefully I will get a bit more of an excitement injection next weekend. I will keep you posted.
So the news has been dominated for the last few months by the pantomime that is the US Election. And “theatre” is really the only word to describe what we have all been forced to be witness to. It has made somewhat of a mockery of politics in my opinion. How can we take the political process seriously after some of the nonsense that has graced our screens in recent weeks? I mean, I love to watch, read or listen the news. I think it is important that we all embrace the news for better or worse. That is how we stay in touch with what is going on in our world and informed of modern issues which it is important for us all to form our own opinions about. But when the news is completely dominated by an ongoing spat between two clowns who claim to be politicians (one of which will unfortunately become the next leader of the most powerful country in the world) something is most definitely wrong. Especially when thousands are dying daily on the other side of the world in the Middle East in a war that has come about due to the ongoing foreign policy of the very same politicians. It is a disgrace. There is no way the news should be allowed to be hijacked in this way!
Anyway, rant over. Until next time folks!
